My name is Ethan Wilson and I was a tech-savvy child who wasn’t really interested in anything but the computers.
When the time came, naturally, I enrolled at the University of Technology in Sidney.
I enjoyed my student days, but the studies were coming to the end and so did my carelessness.
I soon discovered the complexity of the IT industry. I discovered that it’s not only about computers.
I got in contact with a diversity of positions.
I was confused and I didn’t know which major to choose.
I liked writing code, but spending all day long in front of the computer didn’t sound very exciting to me. I wanted to create innovative technology solutions but I also enjoyed working in teams with people.
Finally, I decided to major in Manager System Information. It seemed like a great decision. It allowed me to improve my coding skills but also gave me the knowledge of business systems and economics. I really enjoyed learning new things. It’s not only about writing code.
At the end of the semester, I got my first job as a Computer System Administrator.
The thing I like the most about this is that you can constantly make progress.
